Took out Tim and dancing Claudia today. Claudia got started on about her first cast with a nice 8 lb 14 oz pig on a crank bait , a personal best on the crank bait, if you remember she got a 9 pounder the first day with me for her personal best. We caught 23 fish today a little better than yesterday, but man we had our chance . Claudia and I both lost monster fish today. Tim I do not think he had a big one on all day. I put a picture of him in the post with a little fish just to not leave him out. We had a lot of bites today and did not get hooked up. I will be out there tomorrow with another group , Tim and Claudia will be out in their own boat as they have done when not fishing with me. They have done pretty good on what I have shown them . They did it right and came for 10 days , fished with me three of them and stayed at the best place to stay when visiting Falcon Lake , The Bass Shack. We still have some open dates , so if planning a trip to Falcon , give our place a try.

Took out Brad and Jerry again today for their last day. We went main lake again south and were on them right off. The wind got up quicker and stronger than the forecast called for. We did stay and fish it in the swells and we were still getting bites, We had four good ones today but damn we should have destroyed yesterday’s string, by a long shot. Brad lost two really big fish , one just pulled off the other broke him off. I had three more heavy bites on the Jig and did not put them in the boat. We even stopped and fished the ledge at the ramp trying to cull up a little. All four of the fish picture we caught on the Hammerhead Jig. Jerry caught several on a C-Rig but they were small . Looks windy for the forcast tomorrow , I will still be main lake , deep.

I took out John and Jeff today . I am late with my report because I lost all trolling motor power about noon today . So I changed all my batters out ,after I got off the water. John is holding the first bass he has ever caught and what a fish to be your first and nice 8 lb 2 oz pig. We caught a few more nice fish in the 4 to 5 pound range but with this wind and my trolling motor I did not want to blow 50 yards off my spot to snap a picture unless it was big. Jeff did loose two nice fish on the crank bait . We boated about 15 fish today and tucked our tail and came in. The wind was just brutal today. I have them again tomorrow and hope we can catch a better day for one thing I will not run out of trolling motor. Note If you want to come to Falcon and I am booked I have two guides that I can set you up with . They both are on the water all the time ,locating fish and will do you a great job. I also am booking trips to Sugar Lake , if you want a lake that is great and has very little fishing pressure give me a call or contact. This is also a time when Falcon has a bunch of guides come down for their part time guide season on Falcon and this is ok, but please use one of the full timmers if you can, We are the ones that live here and put our time in year around. Here are the ones to call first. Jim Edwards , Jim Beinken, Jay Greshaw, Gary Harlan, Robert McFarllen . We are all listed on Falcon Lake Tackle’s Guide link on their web site, and we all want and need your business. Falcon is still fishing a little tougher than it has in the past, but you still can grind it out and most days catch at least a 30 pound bag, Go do that on any other lake day in and day out.

Out with Bob and Tom again today I had them with Wally yesterday while I took out Jonnie and Mark. As always it was windy again today. Not wanting to fight the wind with them today I went in the Salada and stayed in there all day. We did not do any good cranking so I had to hit the bushes and we started catching fish. Bob broke a big one off right off the get go. We did land to pictures but man we lost some nice fish . If you have not hit a big fish in the trees , you do not understand how damn strong and fast they are . We had a few today just treated us a little bad. I am back out with Jonnie tomorrow and I think the forcast is for some lighter winds I am sure ready for the main lake after today.

Took out Karl and Isach today. No pictures again today. We really had a slow day as in numbers and size . Yes we caught five that went about 28 pounds and boated about 20 to 25 fish but not a one had the bait in their mouth. We lost more than we put in the boat , witch always makes it a slow day. We tryed everything today and we could have stayed on small fish but that was not what we were after. The big girls just did not bite for us today. I did get my order of Hammerhead Jigs in today so I will be getting out the orders fast. If you want some get them ordered as I sold out in 9 days last time. Falcon Lake Tackle will be stocked back up as well as I know they sold out as well. We did not throw the Hammerhead today because I did not have any either , wonder if that is why we had a slow day LOL>

Took out Brian and Cory again today and this was their last day before they head back home to Tenn. We did not get that far from the county ramp today , because it was supose to rain with possible thunder storms today, but that never happened . We caught a bunch of fish today , but really did not dial in the big bite today. We had several quality fish, but all in all It was disapointing to me. I am ready for them regular days of 40 plus pound sacks almost every day . I sure will be glad when this spawn season get over so the fish will be alot more predictable. With the crowds , the weather and the unpredictable fish I think next Jan and Feb I will not offer any guide trips up. I will still do a few for my regulars , but it is just not worth loosing good spots like I did yesterday to some idiots that are going to rape it and cut the heads off of 8 to 10 pounders. I stay busy as I want to be the rest of the year and I only want to guide the people in my boat , not the ones looking and watching ready to move in on your every spot. This shit has gotten way the hell out of line this year. I like to fish and rotate several spots during a day in an area, and that has become impossable to do.

Well I took out Ralph and Chris today and as you can see by the picture of Buster , he did not want to get up with me today, He know when the fish are going to bite and today he stayed in bed like I should have. We did catch a few but very few today , We fished till three and only boated 14 fish. Now we did have a monster a 10 lb 1 oz to be exact. We got alot more bites than we put in the boat. Chris caught two with his first two cast of the day and I lost 5 in a role and Ralph well I do not know for sure but he lost several as well. After a flurry at first I really slowed down and form what I could see the fish were all suspended out over 30 foot of water or some of them could have moved up real shallow, I will not catch the shallow fish as I very seldom fish less than 12 foot deep. the 10 lb 1 oz had just moved into a pre spawn possition and you could tell from her color and not a mark on her she just got there from real deep.

Took out Brad and Chad today . Back in the stuff we went. We got back in some nasty stuff and the fish were in there by the numbers. At time we had to clean the boat out to keep fishing. We caught a bunch of fish and had some good ones mixed in . It looks like a ton of people have came down to fish and they hit a good week because it is warm and the water temp is good. I sure will be glad when this spawn get over and I can get back out deep. This is about to ware me out LOL.

Well you see what kind of look I got when I ask Buster if he wanted to go fishing today. I could not talk Buster in to going but I did talk Jimbo in to going. We put in at the county and headed South. We did good as we were getting our butts soaked. Biggest today was a 7 lb 12 oz I did not get the camera out today because it was pouring on us almost the whole time. We quit a little after lunch and had boated about 25 fish. Most were on the smaller sise but we did catch five nice fish. Buster new better than to get out there today. Just got off the phone with Rick Morris and If you want a good rod now is the time to get one. If you have fished with me you know I use a 7′ 9″ Okeechee Flipping/pitching special. This rod is a brute and a must on Falcon. We are offering the rods at wholesale cost right now . This rod comes in 7′ , 7’6″ and 7’9″ and 7’11” To get this deal go on line to RPMcustomrods and select what rod you want .
