Just back from the Amazon. What a great trip. I have some great pictures of this trip and big fish, but I am still having trouble with my new server about loading them up. We are working on the problem and I hope we can get it figured out. I went out on a different ship this trip and being in August I went to a different river as well . We set out on the Madeira river and then hit the Canuma river . The boat we were on was The Amazon Load. I have been on other boat and this boat is a big step above the other ones. Everything about this trip from Boat , Staff, Guides and food etc were the best you could have had. We traveled 100’s of miles and fished some great water and caught 1135 Peacocks . The river was still a little to high but our guides worked their tails off. We had several big fish on this trip topping out with Kenny getting his personal best a 18lb I will have pictures later and for those that know Kenny he had his shirt on this time. I have another trip planned the third week in Jan of 2019 and it will be back on the Rio Negro as this is the best area for big fish when the river is right . Jan over the history is one of the best times to fish the Rio Negro because Historically low at this time. I will for sure and do have the Amazon Lord booked and only 18 people can go, so get in touch with me early and get on the books so you can get a cheap flight. My phone number has changed so take note 325-864-8001 . Call me if you have any questions. I will have a full report with pictures as soon as I get this server problem fixed.

Tuesday, August 8th, 2017I know it has been a while since I have posted anything , but I have taken the summer of this year,to spend time in Abilene to get a lot of unfinished business taken care of. I will be leaving to Brazil this Friday to go Peacock Bass fishing in the Amazon. This year we are going to try a different river , the Madeira . It is known for the shear numbers of quality fish in the 8 to 12 pound range with a big one mixed in. Also Calvin , is planning another trip this Jan back on the Rio Negro . If you are interested please get in touch with me. I have been able with this time off to get most everything done on the estate and most important I have my pond finished and about half full. I have it stacked very well. Falcon and Sugar still remain very low and if we do not get some rain soon and they start irrigation , it will not be good for these two lakes. I am going to wait and see before I book any trips down there this spring. I have some very good lakes here around Abilene and they are full and they are doing very well. I will let you know on that on a later date. I will be posting about my Brazil trip when I get back around the 20th so look for that. I finally have my site working right and should have plenty of pictures. See you then.
