It has been a while since I have posted . I have been busy and a lot has happened since my last post. I had my eye surgery and I am so pleased with it. I have 20/20 in my left eye now and I do not have to wear glasses at all. I have been as a lot of you know on a pond project here at my house in Abilene for over a year now. It had three stages and I have began work on the final stage this month. When finished It will be about 4 Ac and average about 14 to 16 feet deep. I have posted some before and after pictures just to let you see the difference . I have three docks completed and the pond will have three water fountains in it as well. These will provide both look and oxygen to the water for the dog days of summer .I have stocked the lower half with crawfish and shiners and have about 30 2 pound Florida Bass . As you can see in the pictures I have added a rock pile for structure and plan on doing a couple more in the near future. Now all I need it to do is rain and give me some water. Now about fishing . I will start my guiding back up the 15th of May. I already have several trips on the books but still have some open days to fill The dates I have open as of now are 15,20,21,22,23,24,28,29,30,31. If you want to come now is the best time of year to fish Falcon and Sugar.

I know it has been a while since I have posted. I just got back to Abilene after 5 days on Sugar. I always love going to Sugar starting this time of year , but this five days was a windy son of a gun. We did fish all five days but the wind was just brutal coming out of the South three days and North two days. The numbers of fish was just great , but fish over 7 pounds were far a few between. A lot of that is was it was nearly impossible to fish out of protected pockets and the big girls were not shallow for the most part. I did get section two of my pond project done Friday and it is raining here today. I have one more section to complete and I will be done , well that is what I am telling Sheretta LOL. I should have about four acres out my back door when the third section is complete and average about 14 feet deep. I already have it stocked very well with Bait and Bass and Bluegill. I did bring my boat to Abilene and plan on fishing up here the most of April . I start my guide trips back on Falcon and Sugar the 28th of April and plan on trying to Fill all the days from then thru the month of May. As most of you Know May and June are the best and my very favorite time to guide on Falcon and Sugar . I at this time still have some good dates to fill.
