I know it has been a while since I have posted. I did have some trips on the books last week, but I had to cancel. I became really sick Sunday and had to got to the doctor and return to Abilene Wed where I am right now. I have Pneumonia. this is the first time I have had this and it is not fun. Being sick is one thing , but not being able to get air is a whole new level , at least for me. Today is Sat so I have had this for a week now and for the first time I can at least walk to another room in the house without loosing my breath. the strong meds are finally started to do some good. I have a busy Feb coming up and I have notified the ones I have the first of the month about my status. Hopefully I can get back to work by then. I will let you know how it goes.

Well first of all I had to cancel my Brazil trip so I will be here all week if anyone wants to fish. I had Jimmy and Dan last week and it blew a gail while they were here but we still caught some fish as you can see them in the first group of pictures. Lets talk about today .  I had John today and this is the first day I have had that I could run the lake as it was calm most all day. I wasted a couple of hours early looking around , but once I got us in the area I wanted to be in . We starting catching some good fish and we caught some big girls as well. I put the scales on three today a 7 lb 1 oz , an 8 lb 2 oz and a 9 lb 12 oz we had some 4,s and a couple of five pounders I did not weight , but I am pretty sure we hit the 36 pound mark for our best five. I will be here and I need the trips and the weather this week is going to be great for a change.

Well I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year. I was to be on Sugar Lake this morning , but we moved our three day trip to Feb due to the front that is hitting down there today and going to be there thru Sun. I am still in Abilene and let me tell you it is cold up here. I will head to Falcon Sat as I have a full slate next week on Falcon. I start Monday and fish 8 straight days on Falcon. I have as most of you know my Brazil trip the week after my Falcon trips . I have been informed that the river where we fish is flooded due to a bunch of rain and more predicted. They gave me the option to move my trip later so the river will have a chance to come down and make the fishing a lot better than it would be flooded. When the river floods into the jungle it becomes really hard to catch them. I for now have not moved the trip and I have till Tuesday to do so. I have 16 clients to talk and see if this can be done and a date that will fit everyones schedule. I will let you know because if I do not go to Brazil on the 18th I will be open for more trips in Jan. Talk to you later.
