I need to go back to fishing , Sheretta is finding way to much for me to do. Our dinning room was too big for our table , so I put a big top on it. She told ,me see was going to stain it so , it is ready for that. I got a wild hair today as Sheretta had to take my truck to town for a few hours. I decided I wanted a shower in the master bath so I tore the heck out of the bath tub and ripped it all out and I have it framed up for a huge 3 by 5 walk in shower . I am installing the shower Friday and once I get it rocked in place I will take a few more pictures . By the looks of things it has finally warmed up. So the fishing should warm up with it.

Well as promised I would post when I got back from Sugar lake. I had a three day trip with 4 people. I fished Josh the first day , Steve the second day and Darrell and Jeff today. They all came down and brought a boat, so all the pictures are just out of my boat. They caught some nice fish as well when they fished out of the follow boat. In fact Darrell had the big fish of the trip a 11.25 lb and He will send me the pictures of her later and I will post some of their catches as well in the coming days. We did not have the best of weather and in fact today it just flat pour down on us most all day. The deal was we di not just catch the numbers . I had about 60 fish in the three days , but the quality was just off the charts . The second day when I had Steve we only fished about 4 hours as he had to go in early. That day after 1 pm was the best weather we had as it got warm and nice for a couple of hours and everyone that was on the water said the same thing a light switch went on and of course I was off the water and taking a nap. There is not going to be another lake hold a candle to the quality that Sugar is going to put out this year. You need to give her a try.

Took out Ron and Roland today. We put in at the county and fished the north end today. We got started with some nice fish at our first stop including one that went 6 lb 10 oz . We caught 8 fish on our first place and none were under 4 pounds. I went to a little pocket next and Roland lost just a giant of a fish . She took him for a ride and never looked back. We made a move after lunch and I do not know if it was the sun or the spot , but we hit the mother load on our next two stops. We had about 20 fish with our best five going 31 pounds with our kicker fish at 8 lb 9 oz . I had taken out Dudley Monday and he was using a rage lobster and just smoked me with that bait, so guess what we caught them on. I am off to Sugar Lake in the morning for a three day trip . This will be my first trip there this year. So I know some of you will be ready to see how I do. I will have my report up come Sat eve. See you then.

Tuesday, March 17th, 2015I have been reluctant to do this for some time now, but I have went up on my pricing. Several guides on Falcon went up on their prices a year or two ago, and I have stayed the same price for the last 10 years. If you are already booked , you will be at the old price of $400 per day on Falcon or $500 per day on Sugar. My new prices take effect NOW for any new bookings. $500 per day on Falcon and $600 per day on Sugar with two day min. on Sugar. I have never charged for the use of my equipment, and this will still be the case, as I want every client to have the best chance at these big mean fish, and it takes the right equipment to help the odds of landing one of these monsters. So if your equipment is not up to par for Falcon or Sugar , just use mine, at no extra cost. You will still need to furnish the baits , hooks and weights. I for one will not allow follow boats of any kind , as I want my full attention on the clients in my boat. All prices are for one or two anglers. I will not take three , unless it is set up with me ahead of time . I still have the all inclusive trips where and when you might need them, for company outings, groups , etc, these will be a quoted price per request.

Sorry about the late report. After I had a no show , I called Dudley to see if he wanted to move his trip from Tuesday to Monday. He was game . Dudley had called me the other night , when he found out that I had a cancelation for Tuesday and , made a request that , since he had a place in the Tigers , that he only wanted me to fish him there so that he could learn it better. Wow I was ready , but I had not been in the Tigers all year and the word from some of the other guides is that it has been off this year. So I put in at the county and headed to Tigers to pick up Dudley. We got started about 8:30 am . I found out right away that there is a lot of damn water and cover in the Tigers this year. and man did it look good. The objective of the day was to show Dudley as much as I could about the Tigers today, and that is where we stayed all day . We ground out about 15 bites in there today and landed 11 fish for out efforts. We did not catch any small fish and we did not catch any big fish . All 11 fish were 3.5 to 4.5 , just good fun fish.

Saturday, March 14th, 2015Well after yesterday Tom and I were eager to get on the water today. I fished Tom South yesterday and we had a great day. Today I fished north and we did not do as well. I even fished Shark Fin up the river today and only had one 5 pounder out of it. That place has been good to me this year. We did however scratch out 9 good keepers and lost about that many more. The fish were just a little off today and would not eat the bait. I am off tomorrow do to a last min cancelation. I also have Tuesday open as well , if anyone wants to go let me know.

Who said Friday the 13th was unlucky. Well Tom and I just hammered the fish today. The day started out like it was for sure an unlucky Friday the 13th as we lost our first three fish and they were all big. I had two to the top and they just came unplugged . Tom lost a monster on the blade as well. After that start we started to pattern them out and putting some good quality in the boat. We caught a lot flipping a lizard , but at one place I smoked them on the blade , catching 10 fish on it in one little area. Tom finally took his blade off and tied one just like I was using and bam it was on for him as well . The only problem he did not put them in the boat , but at least he started getting bit. Our best five today was about 29 pounds . I had several fish not pictured . Tom and I will be at it again tomorrow.

Out on the water today with Robert and Ben. This was their first time on Falcon and first time to flip . Ben had never used a bait caster before so he started out with an open face. Later in the day we got him to use a bait caster and he took up with that pretty good. They both learned a lot today and I promise you they will do very well when I have them back out come Sunday and Monday. I have Tom tomorrow and Sat. Tom is one of my regulars . It was nice to see the sun and some warm weather today. I hope it keeps up , as I think it will fire these fish up , they are probably tired of being cold.

Took out Jacob and Olivia today. It has been a while since I have been on the water, so I was sure glad to be back. We only did a half day today after lunch. I wish I would have had these two all day as they had never before used a baitcast reel before. It took a little while getting them to make a cast and also try to be accurate as I had them throwing spinnerbaits in the nasty stuff. They both told me that they wish that they would just catch a nice one today. Well they started getting a little better with the casting and they both got their wish with the two of them catching their personal best . They are already planning on coming back when it gets hot , like in June or July. Now that they know how to cast they will smoke them next time. Today was still as fun as it gets seeing the two getting into it later in the day.
