Took out Mark and Steve today. Today was a little differant than it has been because we had a good north wind ,not real hard but hard enough , it made main lake difficult. We were on fish and big fish but the way they were taking the bait we could not keep them on long enough to put them in the boat. We did however get a few good ones ion the boat a 9 lb even beeing the biggest. We also did not fish a spot very long as I was mainly just showing them some spots.

Thursday, September 29th, 2011Took out Jason and his brother Jamie on a trip today. They drove 17 hrs from Arizona to fish Falcon for the first time. Falcon did not disappoint them today. We were all over the big fish and they did a great job on hammering them. Yes we lost some big fish but we were getting enough big bites that it seemed not to matter. We caught 60 to 70 fish today and very few were under 5 pounds. A 9 lb 3 oz was the biggest by Jason , but Jamie got on a roll late and got three personal best in a roll first one was 7 lb 1 oz the second was 7 lb 11 oz and the third was 8 lb 1 oz just look at the smiles on their faces that tell the whole story for me. We had two more over 8 pounds and 8 more over 7 pounds the rest were 5 and 6 pounders.

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011 Took out Rick and John again today. We took advantage of the light wind and went south main lake today. We did not slay them but had a good day with about 30 fish boated and most good quality . The biggest was an 8 lb 7 oz by Rick and we had another one right at 8 pounds and a couple of seven pounders and several 5 to 6 pounders. Rick for an old fart did pretty well today. He sure was proud of catching the big fish on the jig he made. We named the color coon ass, The dinger worked well today as well as the jig.

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 After a few days off I was back on the water today taking out Rick and John. We got the day started with John catching one a little over 8 pounds on the square bill. We caught a few more, on the bill, but no picture takers. We started Tx rigging early and allthough we did not catch tons of fish the ones we caught we quality. I did catch some good fish on the deep crank as well. I have them again tomorrow and the wind is to be a little calmer so I will have more options . The food was great in Rockport just look at that pile of food that Sheretta ate all by herself LOL. The fishing in Rockport was very tough this time We caught a limit of reds the first day and only three the second day.

Friday, September 23rd, 2011 Took out Doug and Greg again today. We put in and headed north tody hoping not to get around to many boats. It was nice early with little trafic as the day got going the boat started appering. We caught a ton of fish today 69 boated to be exact. We caught some big ones as well. My options were down a little with all the people on the water so we just kinda fished the bank today trying not to expose to much for the tournament fishermen to pound. This must be a pretty big tournament because I have not seen this many boats on Falcon in a long time. I am headed to Rockport to do a little red fishing in the bay for a few days I will report on that in a day or two. We caught all our fish on soft plastics today and just had a blast as we got bit all day long. Greg caught himself with a squarebill in a funny place ,just thought It required a picture.

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011 Took out Greg and Doug today. We put in and headed South today as there was a crowd of boats today and I felt like if we went a long way we would be left alone for a couple of hours anyway. It worked out as we did not have any company for a while. We started the day with a nice 9 lb 2 oz on the squarebill. Doug had a little trouble with his first five fish two of them broke him off the other three just came off. Finally on his sixth try he boated a nice fish. Greg and I could not let Doug be the only one to get his butt kicked , It happended to us as well. Greg lost the biggest one that we saw and it was a DD for sure. He got her to the boat and she just turned and came off. We had a fair day we boated about 40 fish and our best five went 34 lb 13 oz

It was nice to get on a lake that is on.We go the day started with a nice double on the squarebill. The weather other than hot was perfict today and I could run all over the lake hitting a pattern in catching nice fish most places. We caught a bunch of fish today and a fair stringer of five that went 35 lb 9 oz. We caught them on Big plastics, Jigs, and Cranks today.

Monday, September 19th, 2011Well I am back from Amistad and resting up today for a busy couple of weeks. Tim and I fished our butts off both days . I do not know what the deal is but every time I fish Amistad it rains and I really prefer the sunshine to position the fish on what I have found them on deep. These fish were scattered all over the flats and you had to hit them in the head to make them eat. I was also reminded just how rude some people can be when you do catch a fish and they move in on you. We were on some fish in this little narrow creek and these guys were on the other side and saw us catch a fish and here they came and they had to damn near scrape the side of our boat to get in as I thought I had them blocked. We had 22 lbs 4 oz and 22 lb 10 oz got a check. Amistad is tough They only paid 25 places so we finished so we finished 26 to 28 did not stay and see the final results after we knew we were just out of the money. I am pretty sure Trent Huckabee won it with about 32 pounds. Take the crowd and the tough fishing will make you really appreciate Falcon, but it was really fun to fish there barring the idots.

Friday, September 16th, 2011 Sorry about no report. I did take Ralph out for a couple of hours Wed as he had to hit the road early to get back to work. We found the early squarebill bite not working like we wanted it to so we had to go deep and did not have much time. We did ctch a few good fish and we boated a picture takers. I lost two really big fish at the boat with the crankbait and I could see that they only had the very back hook and as hard as these fish pull and jump that was not enought to keep them hooked up long enough to grab them.Tim and I are off to Amistadto fish the S.I.T. tournamentand we are pumped as we had a great practice last weekend . I will let you know how we do.

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011 Took out Ralph today. Ralph is one of my regulars and it has been a few month sence his last vist to Falcon. We had a great day and just smoked the big fish today. Even though we lost some monsters we still caught a great sack today. We caught them on just about anything we wanted to throw. 9 lb 13 was the biggest but we had two more over eight and several over 7 pounds today. No where in paticular as we fished all over the lake. South of Diablo .
