Took out David and his son in law Derrick today. I went and met them at the state part and put in down there. We fished that end of the lake all day and we really did well most all day long. We caught as you can tell a bunch of quality fish, but what you can not see is the ones that we lost today. I do not know but I think it was the way they were taking the bait and then jumping like tarpon and throwing the bait. I lost five fish that did that and give us a look see. I had one in the 10 pound range hit the bait three foot from the boat and she jumped so high that I had to look up to see her befor she came off. I am not disapointed with our catch but, damn it could have and should have been  massive.

Back to work today and I took out Andy and Fred from James hometown of Hondo. I decided to give the squarebill a try because we were on the water so early and it was Monday and I did not have to worry that someone might get the spots I wanted later in the day. There were a few boat but not any bothering my fish. We got the day started with a beast on the squarebill a 10 lb 4 oz monster. We caught a few more and lost some as well. Andy lost one at the boat about 1 foot from my hand that would have beat the 10 lb 4 oz fish. After that was over we started fishing mid depth and did very well early. Later in the day it slowed down a little and we called it a day . The last picture of Sheretta is her first fish with her new rod and reel. She caught several Sun while we were out.

Took out David and his son Arron today. Arron got us started with his personal best a 8 lb 15 oz pig. As you can see by the pictures Arron put it on his dad pretty bad today. We caught a ton of fish today and the quality was way up as well. Arron almost had the 40 lb 5 oz bag by himselfd today but I finally put a 7 lb 8 oz as our smallest fish in our best five. We had numbers of 5 , 6 and 7 pounders and we quit taking pictures after twenty were photographed. All our fish came on the big plastics or a jig. Just to let you know I had another rod broke on a fish today . David set the hook on this fish and it destroyed his rod. That is five trips in a roll that a rod has been broken. These fish are sooo strong.

Took out Clay and Steve today for a smoking hot day on Falcon. It was dead calm today so it made it seem hotter than normal. We started out deep and caught a few good fish early. Clay could have helped the bag but he had an expencive day on Falcon. After catching a heavy seven pounder . He set the hook on a toad and it jerked rod and reel in the lake and we never saw it again. The next fish he caught he swung it in the boat and oit snapped his other rod. So we were using my equipment after that. I did not give him one of my new rigs. After the deep bite left and it got real calm and hot we hit the shallow brush and started flipping. We did not set the world on fire but we caught anough fish to keep it interisting. We had a fair bag today 35 lb 15 oz

Back out with Gill and Grant again today for a short day. After yesterday we wanted some revenge on these fish that treated us so bad yesterday. We did get some on the fish today. We had a good run early on some big fish with Gill getting the biggest a 9 lb 10 oz brute just 1 oz shy of his personal best he caught the last time he fished with me in Oct. Grant still got a fish on that he could not handle but caught some good fish to. We caught 30 to 40 fish today and our best five went 37 lb 8 oz .

Took out Craig and Doug . We caught another good day. We started out with the square bill but nothing big. We started hitting the deep stuff early and caught a few good fish but Doug lost an absolute monster as she broke him off and came up to the top trying to throw the hook and bait. It slowed down a little after that so we hit the trees and started flipping . We boat a bunch of fish today no monsters got in the boat , We had our chance though and these fish are just hard to land in the cover. We boated well over 40 fish today most of them came flipping bushes in 6 to 12 foot.

Took out Dennis and Billy today. It really was a pretty day with light wind and lots of boats. We just tried to stay where the traffic was light , but that was kinda hard top do. We caught some fish on the square bill but not like last week . Billy did loose one about 6 pounds at the boat. We got deep fairly quick and tha tbite was a little slow on the quality fish . We were catching a ton of small fish. We got anouth of that and finnaly I had to resort to flipping bushes to get the quality bite. We got it but we also lost several that got the best of us. We did boat a few good ones today and made it an ok day.

Took out Mike and Matt today. I fished them in Feb 2009 and It was so cold it was not fun. Today it was a little warmer than back in feb. We started with the squarebill and caught some good fish early. We moved deep early and we got on some fish but the size was down from what it has been. Mike did break off a big fish on 50 lb braid but we do not know how big. We fished south of the tigers and finally found some decient fish in the 6 to 7 pound range. All in all it was kinda a slow day for me. We boated maybe 30 fish today and I only took pictures of three a 6 pounder and two over 7 pounds that we weighted.
