Took out John and John David today for a Falcon Lake Guide Trip. We tried the early morning buzz bait but it was not working. We went deep about 8 am today and stayed that way all day. We caught a bunch of fish today but the size was down from what I have been used to. John did the best with 4 fish over five pounds and one that went 7 pounds. If you look at the picture you will notice that John is all wet holding his lifetime personal best a 7 pound even. He got the fish hung up and dove in and retreved it. It ended up being our biggest of the day. We texas rigged big flukes and Mag UT today for all of our fish. We boated over 40 today

Saturday, May 29th, 2010Took out my sister Carrie and brother in law David today. they came down from Abilene to visit this weeked. Carrie got us off to a good start catching one that went 6 pounds on a spinner bait. It took me a little while to get David hooked up but he did good as well on one that went 6 lb 7 oz. We decided to go site seeing and went all the way to the dam as I wanted them to see the lake. We decided to fish some deep water up by the dam and I caught a hog a 9 lb 15 oz I wanted to call it 10 but 9 lb 15 it was. still a nice fish. Sheretta got in the action as well catching one that went a little over 7 pounds. We had a good day no more than we fished. We caught about 20 fish.

Nothing big but all were fun. I caught two big fish later in the morning on tex rigged Zoom UT mag worm. What we did do is shoot a great action packed video that will be added to my site in a day or two. Be sure to watch it. Buster wore his little butt out getting after these fish. Tuesday, May 25th, 2010Took out Darreck today after a couple days off. The wind was doing the same thing it has been doing for the last 10 days ,blowing like hell. I guess I am getting use to it by now. We caught the dog out of the fish today. Darrick and I both lost a really big fish today in the brush, but we did manage to land some good quality fish. I got tired of taking pictures of six’s we caught so many fish in the 4 to 6 pound range. We did have one 8 lb and another 7 pounder. I bet we pushed catching 50 fish today. All our fish came tex rigged. We caught about 20 shallow early and this is where we lost the two big fish as well. We moved out deep about 11:00 am and caught about 30 deep ( 18 to 20 foot)

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010I had the day off so Buster and I just layed around the house and took it easy today. The wind has been horrible this past week and the looks of it it is here this coming week as well. The word is that it is unsafe to fish on the Mex side right now. I have stayed on the Tex side the last week or so more due to the wind than the fear of the danger that is said to be on the Mexicon side of the lake. I thinks that if you use a little common sence and fish not close to the towns or backs of pockets that you are probley ok. I have notice some strange activity even on the Texas side from Mexican boaters. Mexican netters are usely only two to a boat. If you see a Mexican boat with more than two people in it than you need to be aware and need to get the hell out. The fishing has really been good as the fish are realactive and starting to group together and get more on the summer pattern. The top water action is great the first hour or so in the morning on almost any point that has gravel on it. I do not work till Tuesday so I will have a fishing report up Tuesday after I get in. See ya then.

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010Took out Steven and Brandon today on Falcon Lake. As expected the wind blew again today. We put in and stayed in the Veleno all day, mainly lake side of the bridge. We caught 20 fish today and Steven got his personal best a nice 6 lb 13 oz and Brandon got his personal best as well a 5 lb 11 oz. Steven and Brandon are getting into Bass fishing and are learning fast. As always the wind had an effect on their ability to feel the bite. We had a lot of miscues today, but all in all they did a hell of a job in this wind.

Friday, May 21st, 2010Took out Darrell and Richard today on Windy Falcon Lake. We put in the Tigers and fished there all day. Today was a little slower that the past few days, But we did manage to get Darrell his personal best a long 7 lb 13 oz. Richard biggest today was a 6 lb 8 oz. All our fish came on soft plastics as they would not hit the buzz bait today. We boated about 20 fish down from the past few days. I did not see much activity of fish chasing today.

Thursday, May 20th, 2010Took out Ralph and Eric again today for a half day trip on Falcon Lake. We started today trying the buzz bait and they just hammered it early with Ralph catching one over 7 lbs and Eric and I with some solid 4 to 5 pounders, man this was fun. After the top water bite stopped we started our deeper pattern and picked off some good fish here and there. I had a spot in mind to finish the day and we pulled in the pocket. When we came around the corner we noticed a boat up beating the bank, but no problem he was 200 yards from the spot I wanted to fish and we were offshore about 200 yards as well. Ralph caught a 7 lb 11 on his first cast and a 7 lb 2 on his next. This is all that the other boat could stand so here they came out tward us. When they got about 20 yards away I told them I thought they were getting a little to close. They remarked that they had been fishing in this cove all day, and that was a lie because they were in Pierces five mine eairler as we were. This did not matter because I told them that we had the spot now and they needed to back off. Well they did not and we were still having words as they were Five feet from my boat and let me repeat five feet. I could and should have slapped him with my rod. I have seen alot of ass holes this year on the lake but this guy takes the cake. We waited him out and they finally move on and we ended up catching 7 fish off that spot and the smalles was a 6 lb 10 oz and the best was a 8 lb 11 oz. This guy was in a red and white champion with Tx numbers and If you know him or see him just remember that he is the worst kind of ass there is. He could have watied till we left.

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010Due to the rain early today I had the day off. I took out Sheretta today and we wanted to go catch some crappie to eat for supper. I have not caught a crappie on this lake since the late 70’s. It did not take us long to get a few to eat. It is great to see them finally making a come back after about a 20 year absence. Sheretta also caught a nice Bluiegill and yes we ate him too. I work again tommorow and hope the wind will let me be main lake.
