Later in the day the wind let up enough that we got to go deep and we caught some big fish out there. The biggest was a 9lb 14 oz .

Took out Wade and Tim today. It was so foggey that we just stayed close to the ramp affraid that we would get run over as you would think everybody that owns a boat was on the water. This place is a mad house. We started shallow and pretty well stayed that way all day. We caught the hell out of the fish but a 6 lb 13 oz was the biggest. We will fish deeper tommorow as that is what I have been doing when I have the guys more than one day. Catch pletty of fish and than go for the big girls. I will let you know how it goes.

It was raining off and on all day but we did not mind as we caught some really nice fish including twin sisters both of these fish weighed exactlay the same 9 lb 5 oz each. We had a great bag today considering the weather and that I did not get mor than a few miles from the ramp because I was worried about thunder storms that were forcast.

Feb 2 004Took out Gordon and Casey from Dallas today. Wind was out of the north and rain most of the day. We started in a creek flipping the channel and I caught a 6 plus first thing. We fished the creek for a while only catching a few more small ones. I moved up on the flat about a cast from the creek and we started getting bit pretty good but most we on the smaller size. Casey caught a 6 lb 7 oz flipping. After we had caught our fill of small fish. We decided to go deep for a few big bites and boy did that work for us. We only got bit 8 or 10 times the rest of the day but we caught a 9 lb 3 oz and an 8 lb 11 oz.

Took our Graig and Brad today. They drove all the way from Missouri to fish Falcon for a few days. We went out expecting some cloudy cool weather and that is what we got early, but after lunch the skys cleared and the sun came out and it really got nice. We had fun catching about 30 today but most of them were 2 to 3 pounders with a 4 or so every once in a while. These bucks are everywhere on the bank in 2 ot 6 feet of water. We did try some deeper spots and caught a few in up to 32 foot of water but they were small as well. That is why I have a love hate for the Spawn because it is so unpredictable. Like last trip we caught only 15 but we had a 34 plus sack and today we caught 30 and only had about a 20 pound sack. These fish are really scattered and you have to cover a bunch of water.
